Troubleshooting
View all →Common Failure Modes
Heating element failure or automatic shut-off thermostat malfunctions are the most common endpoints. Mineral buildup from hard water can damage the sensor or element if not cleaned.
Maintenance
View all →Clean the Mesh Filter
The spout filter traps large limescale particles but can become clogged, slowing pouring and harboring bacteria. Keep it clean for optimal flow.
Descale the Interior
Hard water deposits calcium and limescale on the heating element, reducing efficiency and leaving white flakes in your water. Regular descaling is required.
Wipe Base Electrical Contacts
Water spills on the heating base can cause poor connections or arcing. Ensure the electrical contacts on the base and kettle bottom are clean and dry.
