Troubleshooting

View all →

Common Failure Modes

Failure is usually physical damage from dropping. For insulated tumblers, losing the vacuum seal makes them stop retaining heat/cold, while glass simply shatters.

Maintenance

Check Vacuum Insulation

If an insulated tumbler suddenly sweats on the outside or fails to keep drinks hot/cold, the vacuum seal has failed and the cup must be replaced.

Deep Clean Removable Seals

Rubber gaskets and silicone seals trap moisture and grow mold hidden from plain sight. Remove and clean these pieces regularly to maintain hygiene.

Descale Stainless Steel Interiors

Coffee, tea, and hard water leave stubborn stains and mineral deposits inside metal thermoses. Descaling removes these odors and restores the metal.
